The Wellington Health 01 Development located in Box Hill, Melbourne Australia will provide office and health delivery space to support the rapidly growing health services and research ecosystem in the Box Hill precinct. Located next to the Box Hill Hospital and Epworth Eastern health precincts, the facility scheduled to complete in 2024/5 will support health delivery and research organizations collaborate in close proximity to one another. The building will be a landmark feature in the Box Hill cityscape and includes extensive outdoor spaces and integrated landscaped. Si-Flux Siphonic roof and terrace drainage enabled the complex interplay of multiple catchment features and sources with minimum riser space footprint and ceiling space impact. The commercial settings in play rewards net lettable area with rental return which nominally excludes service areas from rental revenue and yield calculations. The building has been able to efficiently manage the diverse rainwater collection arrangements including pollution reduction treatment measures.

Whilst siphonic drainage is extensively applied to low-rise building typology, this project is an example of the application in a medium-rise environment where floor-to-floor heights need to preserve target ceiling heights for tenants and lease agreements which would be difficult to achieve with conventional/gravity drainage solutions. Si-Flux delivered the perfect solution.
