Port Glasgow, Scotland RainPulse Outlet
The Port Glasgow Community Campus, which is home to three separate schools, is the first of its kind in Scotland. The schools are linked through a shared ‘agora’, or social hub, but have their own separate entrances, foyers and teaching areas. Naturally, this has resulted in a very large combined roof area so an effective rainwater management system was essential.
The Si-Flux-Rain Pulse Outlet rainwater management system has a number of operational advantages; it greatly reduces the number of outlets, downpipes and ground works required and cuts the installation time by half. The result is improved roof-to-ground drainage performance whilst still managing to achieve a less cluttered aesthetic. The campus utilises a total of Si-Flux 115 RainPulse outlets compared to the 312 gravity fed outlets that would have been required.
